Mammoth Tooth Fossil Pendant Necklace - Teardrop - Hanging Bail- Smooth Bezel

This pendant is made from 10,000 year old fossilized Columbian Mammoth tooth and sterling silver.  Each tooth is found personally by the artist while scuba diving off the gulf coast of Florida.  Once found, each tooth is stabilized, sliced, and formed into polished stones.  Every tooth is unique, and each cut and setting is made to highlight it's most beautiful features.  These necklaces are truly one of a kind.

This tooth was about 20% complete when found.  The enamel and dentin bands are quite tight and the fossilization was very dense.  The enamel bands are blue and the dentin is mottled dark brown and beige. 

It was stabilized in clear resin prior to cutting to retain the natural color.
